Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• Manage and monitor patients requiring progressive care, including those with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations, drains, and central lines
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and critical drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Maintain safe and effective patient ratios within a high-acuity stepdown environment
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required); Iowa license required or must be obtained upon offer
• Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience administering and titrating critical care drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid driver's license
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
