Key Responsibilities- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Manage and monitor patients requiring telemetry, progressive care, and step-down level interventions.
- Perform and maintain competency with advanced clinical equipment including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), drains, and central lines.
- Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination.
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, or Progressive Care required.
- Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required.
- Experience administering and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drip medications required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- At least one prior travel nursing contract completed preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred.
