Key Responsibilities
Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Manage and monitor patients requiring stepdown/progressive care level interventions including chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations, drains, and central lines.
Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban.
Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination.
Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
Participate in holiday coverage, including working 1–2 of 3 designated summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of previous stepdown or progressive care unit experience required.
Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN state license required upon offer.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
Valid driver's license required.
Candidate must have a taxable home address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
Must not have been employed by the client facility within the last 12 months.
Preferred Experience / Skills
At least one prior travel nursing contract completed preferred.
Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center environment preferred.
