Key Responsibilities
Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the physician-authorized plan of care and evidence-based nursing practice standards.
Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, responding to call lights and alarms, and assisting with transfers.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to update or revise care plans based on current clinical information.
Function as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff as appropriate.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations as well as facility-specific policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
Neuro PCU experience required.
Active Michigan RN license in good standing (verified through LARA and/or Nursys).
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
Active NIHSS Certification.
Current PCU Skills Checklist completed within the past year.
Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Recent travel nursing work history is highly preferred.
Experience in a high-acuity progressive care or step-down unit environment.
