Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting with a 3:1 patient ratio
- Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter and nasogastric tube insertions
- Monitor and assess cardiac rhythms and perform hemodynamic monitoring including use of Endo Tool
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
- Complete 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with alternating weekend rotation
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- BLS certification (current)
- ACLS certification (current)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic health records documentation system
- Background in step-down, IMC, or PCU-level care strongly preferred
