Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown unit within a teaching hospital environment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, applying EKG and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Perform CIWA assessments and protocols as indicated by patient condition
• Deliver tracheostomy care and management for patients requiring airway support
• Float to other facilities within the health system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
• CIWA protocol experience and EKG/Cardiac Rhythm Recognition experience
• Tracheostomy care expertise
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Local candidates are accepted and are eligible on the same basis as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification
