Travel RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Step-Down) setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes
• Participate in bi-weekly facility orientation as required

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down unit
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required per facility standards
• Must meet travel designation requirements (residing 60 or more miles from the facility)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in an acute care hospital environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or progressive care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and intermediate-level patient acuity
• Experience adapting quickly to new facility systems and workflows
