Travel RN – Neuro Trauma Intermediate PCU (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Operate and monitor unit-specific equipment including Philips monitors, chest tubes, arterial lines, wound vacs, drains, EVDs, Nicom, BiPAP, and Airvo
- Float on a rotational basis to critical care cluster or med/surg as required
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
Required Qualifications- Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (inpatient only)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 (declinations not accepted)
- Ability to work weekends as required by the facility and orient on day shift during the first week of assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for neuro, trauma, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory distress, and insulin drip patients
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced intermediate ICU environment
