Travel Nurse RN - Intermediate Care in Stevens Point, WI

Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Stevens Point, WI

Contract (8 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Intermediate Care/Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Manage a diverse patient population including stable, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients
• Administer and monitor insulin drips and primary patient care responsibilities
• Float to other inpatient units as needed, including facilities in surrounding areas
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks independently and efficiently
• Adhere to facility infection control and vaccination compliance policies, including masking requirements during flu season if applicable

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU setting
• At least one previously completed travel nursing contract required – no first-time travelers

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, work independently, and thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

• Gain experience across a dynamic, high-acuity intermediate care unit with exposure to a wide range of complex patient conditions
• Guaranteed hours per week with call-back pay eligibility when called back after low census on-call periods
