Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor and care for post-operative patients including surgical, orthopedic (spine and joint), and cath lab recovery patients
- Manage patients with conditions including stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips at set rates, including heparin titration
- Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment and post-operative monitoring systems
- Document patient care accurately using the facility EMR system (Meditech / CPN)
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1–2 years of current acute care hospital PCU experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Cardiac nursing experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
