Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings within a large academic medical center system spanning two campuses
- Float throughout multiple Adult Health units including Observation, Med/Surg, and PCU as part of a resource float pool
- Manage care for a diverse patient population ranging from observation-level to step-down acuity
- Occasionally support the ED or PACU by caring for Adult Health patients with inpatient orders awaiting unit placement
- Complete all required facility learning modules prior to and during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona (verified within the last 30 days; no disciplinary actions on license)
- Minimum of 24 months PCU experience with recent experience within the last 12 months
- Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
- Valid driver's license required to verify non-Arizona residency (Arizona residents are not eligible for this assignment)
- PCU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred
- Experience working across multiple unit types including Observation, Med/Surg, and PCU
- Familiarity with large academic or Level I Trauma Center environments
