Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IMCU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity unit. This role is ideal for nurses with strong critical care skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Schedule:
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Block scheduling is not guaranteed
Floating required
Unit Details:
Unit: IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit)
64 beds (15 designated Neuro beds)
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Common Diagnoses:
Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory cases
COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post-op patients
Specialty Equipment:
Temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines
BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
Ventilators (chronic vents; respiratory therapy support available)
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality patient care in IMCU/PCU setting
Monitor and assess critically ill patients
Administer medications and treatments
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Submission Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience (travel experience required)
Updated resume with relevant experience
2 recent IMCU Charge/Manager RN references
Skills checklist (matching specialty)
Valid driver’s license (address must match demographics)
Certifications:
AHA BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Critical Care Course / ECCO (ACCN)
NURSYS report with active NY RN license and all RN licenses
RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at time of submission
EMR experience required: EPIC
