Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6 depending on acuity
Manage and titrate cardiac drips including cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and angiomax
Monitor, read, interpret, and document telemetry strips; perform measurements and identify cardiac rhythms
Care for patients with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, post-cath lab recovery, seizures, pneumonia, ETOH/CIWA protocols, and pacemaker management
Collaborate with respiratory therapy, monitor technicians, and patient care techs; troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, Airvo, and tracheostomies as appropriate
Float to other inpatient units as needed; travelers are first to float
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Demonstrated comfort with cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac drips
Ability to read, interpret, and document telemetry independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with CIWA protocols and ETOH patient management
Familiarity with post-cath lab patient care and pacemaker monitoring
Prior experience working alongside monitor technicians and respiratory therapy teams
