Shift Details: Day Shift (37.5 hours/week) – 5x7.5hr shifts | Between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (varied start times) | No weekends, no call, no holidays
Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing IR and cardiovascular interventional procedures. This role includes patient assessment, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery care in a day-shift-only setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedure patient assessments
- Assist physicians during IR and cardiovascular procedures
- Monitor patients during and after procedures
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Provide post-operative care and patient education
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols
Patient Population & Procedures
- Adult patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Cardiovascular interventional procedures
- PICC line placements (required skill)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License – Required
- BLS and ACLS Certifications – Preferred/Required (based on facility)
- Minimum experience in IR or procedural nursing – Preferred
- PICC line placement experience – Required

- PICC line insertion and management
- Procedural nursing and patient monitoring
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Strong assessment and communication skills
Scheduling Details
- 5 days/week (37.5 hours)
- Shift options: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- No on-call
- No holiday requirement
- Occasional late stay for post-op cases (9–5 shift)
