The primary responsibilities include pre and post-procedure care. Top procedures performed include port placement, Y-90, adrenal vein sampling, and various biopsies. Common medications utilized on the unit include Versed, Fentanyl, Dilaudid, and antibiotics. The role requires expertise in handling radiologic procedures and caring for vascular and cancer patients. The RN will assist with various interventions, including G-tube placement, CVC placement/removal/replacement, PCN placement, and IVC filter placement/removal. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for this position.
