Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves working in a cardiovascular interventional laboratory that includes catheterization and electrophysiology labs. The role requires providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures related to cardiovascular conditions, with a focus on moderate sedation and critical care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts with alternating/staggered hours (6:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m.). Rotating day off. No block scheduling or set schedule. On-call duties include weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts with a minimum response time of 30 minutes. On-call frequency and days will be reviewed during the interview.
- Required Qualifications:
- RN License, BLS, and ACLS Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years RN Cardiac/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
- Experience in Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory (CVIL) Cath and/or Electrophysiology (EP) labs, and moderate sedation
- Preferred Qualifications:
- EPIC CUPID Electronic Medical Records system experience
- Critical Care Certification
- Trauma course completion
- Additional Information:
- Must have ICU experience and specific CVIL Cath and/or EP lab experience.
- Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
- The laboratory operates eleven procedure rooms catering to a wide range of cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, pericardial disease, peripheral artery disease, adult congenital heart disease, and aortic disease.
- Prior employment within any Johns Hopkins Health System facility must be disclosed and verified before an offer is extended.
