Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700–$2,840
• Location: Rochester, New York

Interventional Radiology RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of recent interventional radiology nursing experience
• Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a procedural environment and follow infection-prevention requirements, including the use of facility-issued laundered scrubs when required

Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients for biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and recognize changes in clinical condition
• Provide post-procedure recovery care in PACU and extended-stay settings, including up to 23-hour observation
• Support critical embolization response for trauma patients as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and promote effective communication across the care team
