Job Title: Clinical Services - Cardiology Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred for RN and RT(R) License: RN and RT(R) License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS for RN; ARRT, BLS for RT(R) Must-Have: Experience with Interventional Radiology procedures Description: This facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a comprehensive stroke center designation. It has 933 beds and a Level III NICU. The department operates 24/7 and primarily serves adult patients. General procedures performed include kyphoplasty, central line placements, fistulograms, and coil embolization. Neuro Interventional Radiology experience is required for RNs. The average patient volume is around 40-50 patients per day. Required licensure for RNs includes BLS and ACLS. For RT(R), an ARRT certification and a BLS credential are necessary. Experience with general Interventional Radiology cases is preferred. There is a support team available, including coordinators, lead techs, and respiratory therapy staff. CNA and transporter support is also provided 24/7. Electronic Medical Records used are of the EPIC system. IV pumps used include Alaris and medication dispensing is handled via Pyxis. Equipment experience with Siemens and GE is preferred, along with familiarity with IVUS and ultrasound technology. There is no floating to other units. Call responsibilities vary by role, with travelers taking on call shifts based on experience. Respond time for on-call staff is within 30 minutes. There are no holiday work expectations currently, but this may change. Approved RTO can be up to 7 days. Shift times for general IR are typically from 0700 to 1530. The manager is open to altering shift times if necessary. Scrub colors are provided.
