Description:
The Interventional Radiology RN will provide care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for procedures such as embolization, nephrostomy, and angioplasty.
The RN will monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage post-procedure care.
The role requires proficiency in central venous access and port placements.
Experience with various patient diagnoses, including geriatric, dialysis, stroke, orthopedic, and pulmonary embolism is essential.
Special procedures may include cerebral angiograms, GI bleeds, and renal angiograms.
The RN will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimize outcomes.
Weekend coverage is necessary, requiring one weekend shift every five weeks.
The RN must be able to take call with a 30-minute callback time during on-call shifts.
The role demands strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
They will ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
