**Join Our Dynamic Interventional Radiology Team - RN with Neuro Experience!**
**Job Description:**
- Make a meaningful impact by providing exceptional patient care in the field of Interventional Radiology.
- Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments, swiftly recognizing and addressing complications.
- Implement and uphold radiation safety protocols to ensure patient and team safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with team members and radiologists to meet patient needs, enhancing the overall care experience.
- Demonstrate critical decision-making skills during high-pressure situations.
- Adapt quickly to changing environments and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.
- Handle a variety of procedures including:
- Sedation for invasive procedures such as port placements/removals, tunneled/non-tunneled line placements/removals, and CT biopsies.
- Chest tube and CT-guided drain placements.
- IVC filter placements/removals and nephrostomy tubes.
- Neurovascular interventions for stroke emergencies.
- Participate in special procedures like chemo embolizations and uterine artery embolizations.
**Common Medications Used:**
- Versed, Fentanyl, Cefazolin, Levaquin, Lidocaine, Nitroglycerin Spray (Note: Rad Nurses do not manage Propofol drips or pressors).
**Essential Equipment:**
- Computer, ISTAT, ACT Machine, Penumbra, IV Pump, Vital Sign Machine.
**Patient Care Ratio:**
- Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for procedural sedation.
**Required/Preferred Skills:**
- **Line Management Skills:**
- Required: IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management, Vascular Device Access/Care.
- Preferred: CVP.
- **Cardiac Skills:**
- Required: Tele Interpretation, Cardioversion/Defibrillation.
- Preferred: Sheath Removal.
- **Airway Skills:**
- Required: Procedural Sedation.
- **OBGYN/OR Skills:**
- Required: Circulate.
**Shift Information:**
- M-F days with rotating call.
- Availability for holiday coverage.
**Minimum Years of Experience:**
- 2 years of neuro experience preferred.
**Certifications/Requirements:**
- BLS/BCLS required.
