    RN (Registered Nurse) – IR / Special Procedures

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | Onsite | Schedule options include 2×10-hour and 2×8-hour shifts or all 8-hour shifts (0600–1630 or 0700–1530); team scheduling posted 17 days in advance for 6-week blocks; weeknight call expected 1–2 days per week; weekend call expected every third weekend; holiday call expected every other holiday; 30-minute call response time required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage conscious/moderate sedation with autonomy in an interventional radiology setting, serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergent patient populations
    • Perform circulating, pre-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for IR cases including stroke thrombectomy, embolizations, line and tube placements, biopsies, drain insertions, chest tubes, and visceral, para, and thoracentesis procedures
    • Chart accurately and thoroughly using EPIC EMR; operate Philips Xper (Hemo) and Siemens C-Arm equipment
    • Float to radiology pre/post areas as needed
    • Participate in on-call rotation including weeknights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
    • Radiation Badge must be obtained and in hand prior to start date
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN (Registered Nurse) license
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Radiation Badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
    • Moderate/conscious sedation experience is required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • Candidates may not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
    • RTO requests must be submitted upfront and may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in an interventional radiology or special procedures environment
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Philips Xper (Hemo) or similar hemodynamic monitoring systems
    • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist across the department as needed
