Orange, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Monday–Friday with on-call requirements | On-call expected approximately 7 days per month, including one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday PM) and one day per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care within an Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment at a Magnet-designated acute care facility
• Perform and assist with special procedures in a multi-room lab setting, requiring proficiency in at least a 2-room lab configuration
• Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation throughout procedures
• Accurately document patient care and procedural information using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend and weekday call coverage as scheduled
• Float to sister facilities nearby as required by the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting (required without exception, including first-time travelers)
• Experience in a facility with at least a 2-room lab and 250+ staffed beds
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and either CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, and NIHSS
• Sedation skills required
• Epic EMR experience required for IR RN candidates; highly preferred for Cath Lab RN candidates
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests may not be granted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as either an IR RN or Cath Lab RN welcomed; please specify your background clearly upon submission
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or large acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with compliance requirements including background check standards (facility does not accept background hits)
