Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department, with rotating days split between the general Radiology unit and the IR suite
- Perform patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery for a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
- Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation during IR procedures
- Establish and manage IV access for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Collaborate closely with Interventional Radiologists and Technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications- Current and valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care experience (ICU or Emergency Department)
- Demonstrated proficiency in moderate sedation and IV access
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures setting
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex clinical cases
