Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an Interventional Radiology setting, supporting approximately 16 cases per day across three IR rooms
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation during IR procedures, including stroke-related interventions
- Provide pre- and post-procedure coverage in the Radiology Pre/Post Unit (RPPU) as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including backup call, with required response to the facility within 30 minutes; call coverage includes weekday evenings and 24-hour weekend rotations
- Utilize unit systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR for documentation and patient management
- Complete an 8-hour unit orientation during the first week, including attendance at all required hospital orientation classes
Required Qualifications- Active RN license – NC state or Compact license required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Proficiency with conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring
- Working knowledge of IR procedures, including stroke interventions
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills- PALS certification
- Experience circulating in a procedural or OR environment
- Ventilator management experience
