Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialty Nurse Nights in a high-acuity healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to obstetric patients during night shifts, with a focus on high-risk deliveries and maternal-fetal health management. The role requires bedside clinical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-functioning unit.
Job Details
Position Description: Labor and Delivery nights shift at the unit, accepting experienced travelers with background in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
Certifications and Education Requirements: Valid ACLS*, AWHONN Intermediate*, BLS, and NRP certifications required; valid OK or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience in labor and delivery, including high-risk obstetric care.
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Qualifications: Basic/intermediate fetal monitoring skills, proficiency in blood and blood product administration, and obstetric emergency procedures.
Additional Job Responsibilities: Assisting with high-risk deliveries, monitoring fetal heart rates, managing postpartum hemorrhage, and providing lactation and breastfeeding support.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and high-risk obstetric interventions.
Submission Requirements: Successful candidates must have a valid license, appropriate certifications, and at least 2 years of recent obstetric nursing experience.
