Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position is located in the Seattle area. This role involves caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a high-volume, diverse patient population. The nurse will provide postpartum treatment following delivery, including managing postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, Pitocin administration, and other obstetric care procedures. The position is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in high-risk obstetrics and postpartum care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid compact state nursing license, at least 1 year of recent obstetric or postpartum nursing experience, current BLS and NRP certifications, experience with Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Foley catheter care, postpartum hemorrhage management, and EPIC electronic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling high-risk obstetric patients, Magnesium Sulfate administration, substance withdrawal management, and JADA (Joint Accreditation for Dietetics Education) experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required at Issaquah Campus and Edmonds Campus, specifically in Postpartum and Labor and Delivery units.
- Additional Information: Candidates must commit to working three out of five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). All scheduling requests and RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted during the application process; post-submission RTO may not be considered. Candidates should not reach out directly to facility contacts unless scheduled for an interview through the recruiter. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities.
