Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a Level IV maternal care facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume obstetrics environment, supporting over 500 deliveries per month. The nurse will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive maternal and neonatal services, including high-risk pregnancies and delivery procedures.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Texas nursing license; BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics; Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school; minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery settings.
Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery services; S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Additional Information: The role involves providing specialized obstetric care within a multidisciplinary, high-risk environment, supporting antepartum, triage, labor/delivery, and postpartum units. The facility features extensive unit resources including multiple LDR suites, C-section rooms, triage, and Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, along with a high-risk delivery and Perinatal Transport Program.
