Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse in a healthcare facility located in Conroe, Texas. This position involves providing nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including newborn care. The role demands clinical expertise in delivering patient-centered care within a fast-paced labor and delivery unit.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); Nursing license; 1 year of relevant experience; Location in Texas; No minimum experience required - 1 year of experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience; Transition, postpartum, and newborn care experience; Team player, motivated, independent, flexible personality
Responsibilities include laboring and vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and care of newly delivered mothers and their newborns.
Floating Area(s): Mother/Baby
Dress Code: Scrubs in royal blue
Unit Information:
Number of Beds: 8 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 operating room beds, 1 recovery room bed
Staff: 32 members including registered nurses, certified nurse assistants, transition nurses, unit secretary, and certified surgical technologist
Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 2:1
Equipment: GE monitors, Panda warmers, Novi, Neptune EMR CPN, Meditech
