Job Description:

Registered Nurse responsible for providing postpartum and low risk antepartum care. The role involves breastfeeding assistance, newborn care, and performing assessments for mothers and babies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care, including vital signs and thermoregulation.
• Manage hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) babies.
• Conduct newborn lab tests, phlebotomy, and IV skills.
• Perform PKU testing and discharge teaching.
• Vaccinate neonates and perform fundal checks on postpartum patients.
• Provide comprehensive assessments and reassessments for mothers and babies.
• Rotate weekends and float between LD, NICU, and other designated units voluntarily.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience, with 1 year in Mother-Baby/Postpartum.
• Current BLS, NRP certifications; EFM preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
• Ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets and perform thorough patient assessments.
• Experience with all required skills and care for postpartum patients.
