Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Harlingen, Texas.
Job Summary for RN - L&D (Labor & Delivery), 2 Years of Experience
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Monitor and assess mothers and fetuses throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and surgical procedures (e.g., C-sections).
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Interpret and document vital signs, fetal monitoring strips, and patient progress.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and complications.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records according to hospital policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Med Ninjas Job ID #15595. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
