• Setting: Level II trauma environment with strong patient volume

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• NRP certification required
• RNC certification preferred
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be 100 miles from the facility and have an active driver's license in the submission packet
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort in a fast-paced maternity care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
• Support physicians, labor and delivery nurses, and the care team during admissions, deliveries, and postpartum transitions
• Respond to changing patient conditions with sound clinical decision-making in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and best practices
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality outcomes and patient safety
