• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 - $2,020
• Start Date: 8/26/2026

Job Requirements

• Valid Kansas RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, AWHONN, and NRP required at time of submission
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Epic experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to support high-risk obstetrical care in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, postpartum, and obstetric triage

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
• Support high-risk pregnancies including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and other obstetric complications
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and external cephalic versions
• Care for OB triage, postpartum, and special care nursery patients as needed
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and obstetric interventions per protocol
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe outcomes for mothers and infants
• Float to like units within scope when needed to support facility needs
