Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36 1900-0700 licensed bedso Level 3 Traumao Teaching Hospital? Noo Certified Chest Pain Centero Stroke Center? Unit Information:o Beds: 8 labor rooms, 3 triage rooms, 1 OR suite and 1 PACU? 4 to 6 patients on average/dayo Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years in Labor and Delivery ability to work LDRPo Will you accept a first-time traveler? No? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:o Labor/Delivery/Postpartum/Newborn care? Patient Ratios:o RN: Use AWHONN Staffing Guidelines ? 1:2 Inactive labor; 1:1 Active Labor; 1:3-4 Coupletso CST: 1 per shift? Required Licensure & Certifications:o BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP? Skills required:o Labor and Delivery Nurse skills - labor management, circulate cesarean sections, Pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural managemento Ability and willingness to work LDRP setting? Support within the Department:o Charge nurse, 24/7o Phlebotomy? Yes, for peripheral blood drawso IV/VAT Team? Noneo Resource Nurse? When availableo RT 24/7? Yes, within hospitalo Hospitalist 24/7? Yes, for newborn careo Telemetry monitoring/tech? Fetal Monitoring? Technology/Equipment:o EMR: Epico IV Pump: Alariso Med dispensing: Omnicello Monitors: Fetal Monitor, Philips Monitor for Newborno Unit specific equipment: Scales, Ultrasound, Ambulation assist device? Floating: o Within region and scope of practiceo Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable? Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)? If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEOo 2 days departmental? Scheduling:o Weekend rotation: every other weekendo Call: Possibility of low census call. Can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Dayso Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hourso Shift times: 7a-7p and 7p-7ao Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks?
