Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a hospital settinglocated in a vibrant healthcare campus. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care, including attending deliveries and high-risk pregnancies, within a team-oriented environment that emphasizes camaraderie and professional growth.
Education requirements: Valid Compact license in state of practice; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic charting system; experience attending all deliveries and high-risk pregnancies; ability to assist with high-risk delivery procedures; competency in administering blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, and managing patient care in labor and postpartum units.
Experience with GYN surgeries, couplet care, and low-risk antepartum is preferred.
Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries, managing antepartum and postpartum patients, and performing specialized procedures such as epidural placement, use of PCA pumps, and wound care.
Travelers may be asked to float to nearby facilities based on operational needs.
Candidates must provide responses regarding prior work at Providence facilities, along with two recent references covering at least one year within the last three years.
