Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves supporting high-risk obstetrical clients and assisting with deliveries in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The nurse will function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide ongoing newborn care until transfer to postpartum. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience, with specific expertise in high-risk obstetrics and electronic fetal monitoring.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with posted schedules every 6 weeks to align with unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license at submission; minimum of 1 year of experience in high-risk obstetrics; current BLS and NRP certifications; high-risk experience required; EPIC electronic fetal monitoring experience valued; ability to work in a high-paced, high-acuity environment; must circulate during deliveries and provide newborn care including eyes, thighs, assessment, and injections.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
• Float: Float to sister facilities or units such as Antepartum, Postpartum, NICU, or community clinics as needed, with a focus on postpartum and antepartum care.
• Additional Information: Candidates will be responsible for assisting with high-risk and routine deliveries, performing newborn assessments, and providing postpartum patient care. Must be flexible to work every other weekend and holidays, with pre-approved time off arranged on a case-by-case basis. All candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays.
• Travel Compliance: Must have at least one year of experience, valid license, and meet all travel policy requirements for a minimum of 7 days per assignment, with priority on limited RTO requests during the booking process. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required prior to start, and candidates may be asked to float between nearby facilities if needed.
