Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility. This high-volume unit performs over 500 deliveries per month and offers comprehensive services, including ante-partum and triage care, with 24-hour in-house coverage by OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams. The role involves providing specialized maternal and neonatal care in a fast-paced, academic, and private practice environment.
Job Details:
Required Qualifications: BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Texas nursing license; Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics; Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing; Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery services.
Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: This role involves working in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with extensive labor, delivery, ante-partum, triage, mother-baby, and monitored ante-partum rooms. The unit supports high-risk pregnancies and performs a fast-paced, high-volume delivery service, including C-section and low-intervention rooms.
