Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
• Healthcare Setting: 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit with inpatient rooming-in for mothers and infants
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Shifts per Week: 4
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Population: Adults and neonates

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience
• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Cerner preferred but not required
• Current COVID-19 vaccination required; medical exemptions are not available
• Current influenza vaccination required; medical exemptions may be considered
• Strong communication, patient assessment, prioritization, and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, forceps and vacuum-assisted deliveries, and high-risk obstetric situations
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring, NSTs, and IUPCs
• Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and obstetric emergencies
• Administer and monitor medications and therapies, including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, terbutaline, epidural anesthesia, and IV infusions
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, cord care, metabolic screening, and newborn hypoglycemia management
• Support couplet care, breastfeeding and lactation education, discharge teaching, car seat education, and parent instruction
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient status using SBAR
• Follow infection prevention, patient identification, security banding, and medication safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the care team
