Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- At least 1 year of RN experience required
- Recent experience in Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, Emergency Department, or critical care preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate care in both Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby settings
- Strong skills in fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, and newborn support
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
- Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical monitoring technology
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, family-centered care to mothers, newborns, and obstetric patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care
- Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management as needed
- Assist with circulating and recovering C-sections
- Collaborate with physicians, care management, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, breastfeeding, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and adjust the plan of care appropriately
- Promote safety, quality improvement, and positive patient outcomes in every interaction
