GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Dickson, Tennessee.

Opportunity:
RN - Women's Services
Job Details:
• Full-time position requiring 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
• Work in an LDRP unit with 9 beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care 1:3; newborns 1:1 until stable; NICU 1:3 intermediate care with minimum 2 NICU nurses required in unit at all times
• No unit secretaries or technicians available on unit
• Equipment used includes CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps
• Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN
• Must have labor and delivery experience including ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred
• Fetal monitoring education and experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) required
• Procedures performed on unit include C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring training
• Pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy
• Daily rounding on all patients and SAFETY rounding required
• Float policy requires staff scheduled but not needed on unit to float anywhere within the facility as needed; some staff are cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU
Facility:
This facility is a Joint Commission-certified medical center holding designations as a Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II NICU. The Women's Services unit is a comprehensive LDRP setting offering labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and neonatal care in one cohesive environment. The unit is staffed by a highly experienced team of nurses, many with 30 or more years of experience, who serve as strong resources and preceptors for incoming staff.
