Job Summary:
Specialty Licensed Practical Nurse (L&D) in Seattle, Washington. This position involves providing care in a high-risk, fast-paced Labor and Delivery Department, supporting unique patient needs and participating in high-volume obstetric services. The role is suitable for candidates with the required experience and certifications, committed to delivering exceptional patient care during nights.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in high acuity and high-paced environments; current and valid state license with a compact endorsement; minimum of 2 years of experience with electronic fetal monitoring; current certifications including BLS, NRP, and ACLS; highly preferred certifications include AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-risk obstetric care; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records; certifications in specialized obstetric procedures are valued.
  • Float: Float to postpartum and antepartum units, and potential to support sister facilities with Mother/Baby services.
  • Additional Information: The role requires circulating during deliveries, managing newborn care including eyes and Vit K injections, and skills in high-risk obstetric procedures. Candidates will function as Baby Nurses, supporting delivery and newborn care until transfer to postpartum. Experience with high volume obstetric cases and fast-paced environments is essential.
