Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) profession in a high-volume facility, the position involves providing specialized care for women during childbirth and immediately postpartum. The role requires high-risk experience and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments, supporting both maternal and neonatal patients.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 04/19/2027.
Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and ACLS; valid compact license in hand; experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EPIC hard stop).
Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications, high-risk delivery experience, and familiarity with high-volume labor and delivery environments.
Float: Float to postpartum and antepartum units and between campuses may be required. Float to sister facilities that support mother/baby services may also be necessary.
Additional Information: The role involves functioning as a Baby Nurse during delivery, providing care to the newborn until transfer to postpartum, including assessments, eye care, and prophylactic injections. Candidate must circulate during delivery, assist with high-risk procedures, and adhere to staffing guidelines per AWHONN standards. All candidates must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed, with pre-approved time off considered on a case-by-case basis.
