Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required for the applicable state
• C-EFM through NCC required at time of submission
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
• ACLS preferred
• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Previous travel nurse assignment required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to support Mother/Baby care and float as qualified
• Scrub experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with night shift work and call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Monitor fetal status and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk deliveries as needed
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage IV therapy and other ordered interventions
• Collaborate with the care team to respond to obstetrical emergencies and changing patient needs
• Float to Mother/Baby when qualified and support scrub backup duties when needed
• Document care accurately in the Cerner electronic health record system
• Maintain a calm, professional presence in a busy, team-oriented hospital environment
