Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for Maryland practice
• Current C-EFM NCC certification required at time of submission
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• 3 years of experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Charge experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Mother/Baby experience preferred
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Must be comfortable with call, weekend coverage, and floating when qualified
• Flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal and maternal status using external and internal fetal monitoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and cesarean sections
• Support triage, assessment, and stabilization of obstetrical patients
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Perform newborn assessments and support immediate postpartum and newborn care
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage and fetal heart rate changes
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate closely with the care team
• Float to Mother/Baby or assist with scrub duties when qualified and needed
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a busy, team-oriented environment
