Job Details

• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Location: Brooklyn, Maryland 21225
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (18:50 - 07:20)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Call: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Setting: 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit serving a variety of maternal and newborn care needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Current C-EFM NCC certification required at time of submission
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE required; ACLS preferred
• At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience supporting mother/baby care and scrub backup preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced obstetric environment and float when qualified

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and cesarean sections
• Monitor fetal status and interpret EFM patterns to support safe patient outcomes
• Support maternal assessments, pain management, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Perform newborn assessments and assist with immediate newborn care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, family-centered care
• Serve as scrub backup as needed and float to mother/baby when qualified
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and follow unit protocols
