• Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 4x12s with weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: Required to postpartum, antepartum, and between nearby campuses as needed
• Unit Type: High-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred; high-acuity/high-volume experience is required
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Current compact or Washington state RN license in hand at submission
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with Epic electronic health records and electronic fetal monitoring required
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-risk obstetric environment
• Must have current newborn care skills, including assessments and Vitamin K administration
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Must provide supervisory references and required certifications with submission

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including high-risk and high-volume cases
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate for C-sections and support surgical obstetric deliveries
• Perform newborn assessments, APGAR scoring, and immediate post-delivery care
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used in obstetric nursing, including magnesium sulfate and insulin drips
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and postpartum recovery
• Assist with fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Float to postpartum and antepartum units when needed to support patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary women’s health team to provide safe, compassionate care
