• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,250
• Call Coverage: On call up to 24 hours per 6 weeks
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and major holidays as needed
• Setting: High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
• Start Date: 8/31/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• 1-2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Fetal heart monitoring knowledge preferred; C-EFM certification strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic and perinatal systems preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based women’s health environment
• Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
• Ability to float within related women’s health units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate Labor and Delivery nursing care for mothers, newborns, and families throughout the full obstetrical care continuum
• Perform ongoing assessments, triage, and patient education
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Circulate cesarean sections and assist with deliveries as needed
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stabilization care
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with nursing standards and patient safety practices
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Provide breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and family education
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality, safety, and infection control standards
• Respond calmly and effectively in urgent or emergency situations
