Job Summary: The Labor and Delivery Department in Austin, Texas, is seeking a qualified registered nurse to join the team on a seasonal contract basis. This role involves working the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends. The position offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume, Level IV unit with a focus on obstetric care, utilizing advanced monitoring technology and procedures.

Location: 12221 N MOPAC EXPRESSWAY, Austin, TX 78758
Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Target Start Date: 07/13/2026
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM). Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. Experience with C-Section circulation, SVE competency, and working in high-volume units preferred. Proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level IV hospital setting, internal monitor placement competency, and previous employment in a similar high-volume environment.
Responsibilities: Provide obstetric nursing care, monitor fetal status, assist with deliveries and C-Section procedures, and ensure patient safety according to hospital policies.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, adaptable to the fast-paced obstetric setting, and able to adhere to dress code standardssolid-colored scrubs in blue or grey.
