Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 36 Hours Per Week (Guaranteed hours with maximum 1 call-off allowed per 2-week pay period).
  • Block Schedules: Not guaranteed (subject strictly to manager discretion).
  • On-Call Protocol: No on-call duties required.
  • Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract (Start Date: 09/14/2026).
  • RTO Protocol [STRICT]: All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted upfront with the initial profile.
  • Floating Protocol: Floating required between like maternal-child units as needed.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Clinical Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2 years of active Labor & Delivery RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Core Competency Mandate [CRITICAL HARDSTOP]: Candidates MUST have direct experience circulating for C-sections in the OR and a clinical background in high-volume delivery settings (facility experience with a minimum of 200 deliveries/month is preferred).
    • Facility Preference: Hiring manager prefers candidates who do not have exclusively teaching hospital experience (community hospital background welcomed).
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
  • EMR Mandate: Direct hands-on proficiency with Epic EMR is required.
  • Licensure & Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active California State RN License (Pending licenses strictly rejected).
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
    • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
    • Active AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
    • Active L.A. City Fire Card.
