Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in New Mexico. The role involves providing obstetrical care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal phases within a hospital setting. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, quality care in accordance with hospital policies and state Nurse Practice Act, demonstrating leadership and critical thinking skills throughout all shift responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with floating required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing experience; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); and valid licensure in the state of New Mexico.
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides nursing care to antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), and special care nursery babies, nursery.
  • EMR systems include MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), and Athena (Clinic).
  • Unit comprises 1 triage bed, 3 labor beds, and 4 postpartum beds.
  • Patient ratio is 1:1 for labor patients, 1:4 for postpartum.
  • No call requirement.
