Job Summary: Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Maternal Infant Unit located in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves providing comprehensive care during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a busy unit with high delivery volumes. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional skilled in managing labor processes and neonatal needs.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Fetal Monitoring Certification. At least 2 years of labor and delivery experience, with preferred experience in labor, delivery, and postpartum care within high-volume Labor and Delivery units.
Preferred Qualifications: More than 2 years of labor experience, especially with a background in Low-Delivery Room and Postpartum (LDRP) settings.
Additional Information: The unit handles vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, antepartum patients, and newborn care, utilizing GE fetal monitors and Meditech electronic medical records. The shift includes every third weekend with 12 hours of on-call duty every four weeks.
Location: 1401 Johnston Willis Drive, Richmond, VA 23235.
